[ The young man who steps up is wearing travel-worn leather armour and slings a heavy-looking pack by his feet. He’s already picked up a slice of pie from the kitchens – he can tell it’s not a trap and he could use a good meal. But there’s a trade to be made, or so he reads it – hospitality for enquiry. ]

[ He inspects the fountain behind him with interest, then turns back to the plaza at large and shrugs amiably. ]
