What do you do when there's no apocalypse to cancel?

[ life is kind of boring without that. ]

Wear impractical, non-apocalypse-friendly clothes. Pet a dog. Find a routine.

Well. Because in an alternate universe, where the apocalypse wasn't canceled, there are no other options.

Which is not to say that I'd be wearing heels every day even if our own apocalypse had been stopped, but the luxury of sometimes being impractical is not to be underrated, I think.

Oh — one of many, yes. But where I am from, we have been having an apocalypse for about twenty years, so...those are just a tiny number of things I'd do if we weren't.

Sort of. Yes. But not really directly.

[ this is more a war of manipulation and slight of hand; their enemies are not easily made visible. that's why the world's least appropriate person for espionage here is now a spy, technically. ]

Certain parts of it were inevitable, anyway. Empires tend to fall.
