[It is essential to take a break from whatever you're doing to keep the mind fresh. It's clear that it has been a long time since Lichtenstein took a break from whatever he was doing. The cuffs of his shirt are singed and there's some ash in his hair that he hasn't noticed yet.]

People spend a lot of time protecting 'who they are'. But people change, sometimes voluntarily, sometimes because of the things they experience. At what point have you become someone else entirely? When do you lose 'who you are'? Is it even possible to?

[ The young man who steps up is wearing travel-worn leather armour and slings a heavy-looking pack by his feet. He’s already picked up a slice of pie from the kitchens – he can tell it’s not a trap and he could use a good meal. But there’s a trade to be made, or so he reads it – hospitality for enquiry. ]

[ He inspects the fountain behind him with interest, then turns back to the plaza at large and shrugs amiably. ]

Very well, then. Would you consider yourself a leader, a follower or… mmm, a loner?

He doesn't usually care for the opinions of other people but a curiosity struck on the matter of his existence and current predicament. ]

Imagine science has found a way to engineer DNA sequences in the organic creation of a human life to craft advanced beings from a womb opposed to a tube. If those first successful cases begin to show mental deterioration, is it then within the right of the scientist to observe without treatment and terminate as necessary or is such an act inhuman and should it be illegal?

[Oh look, current visitors to The Piazza! Beginning at about noon, you may have noticed a larger number (or a more conspicuous number) of Masked Ones about. They've been tidying and moving tables and chairs around, and even brought out a long picnic-style table, which they then covered in a cheerily checkered tablecloth.

At one point, they began to bring out bunches of brightly-colored balloons on strings, tying them to tables, chairs and potted plants, and putting up similarly colored streamers around the building structures and even around the Great Fountain.

Around five o'clock, however, they all seemed to disappear at once, perplexingly. Normally there are one or two hovering around, sweeping or bringing drinks or gardening, or just standing about waiting to be useful somehow. One would think their inactivity would be comforting, but somehow the Piazza has an oppressive, empty air without them.

But at six on the dot, a large number of Masked Ones file out of one of the buildings, carrying enormous platters of delectable food. Roasted meats and pizzas and sandwiches, tureens of soup and saucier items, freshly-baked breads, servers of vegetables of every type and flavor, exotic fruits both candied and fresh, towering trees of little pastries and cakes. Food both simple and elaborate, everything looking mouth-wateringly scrumptious. After arranging this food on the long table, buffet-style, most of them line up around the outside of the Piazza.

It's at this point you might notice that they each have a single balloon tied onto one of their wrists with a brightly-colored ribbon.

One of the Masked Ones approaches the podium, as a pair of two others ties a sash of bunting onto it. As they step back, it is revealed to read the word HOLIDAY. The Masked One at the podium (it has a Pink balloon) opens its hands wide, to address The Piazza at large. Aren't we lucky!]

Joyous Holiday!

We provide a Holiday Feast to you. Indulge!

[the Masked One slowly gestures, open-palmed, to the table of wonderful food. It then slowly turns back to the podium.]

A Celebratory Moment for you all. Don your traditional Holiday Costumes and sing the many traditional Holiday Songs! Perform Holiday Festivities! We beseech you.

Experience Cheer, for Holiday! It is now! Will you?

[The Masked One pauses for a moment, raising its palms to the sky. After a few seconds it seems to believe it has made its point, and slowly shuffles away from the podium, to take its place once again amongst the many, who are now beginning to help serve punch and food, and even some bringing out board games, activities, and even what appears to be a piñata in the shape of some sort of unfamiliar animal.

Apparently it's a holiday! Have fun...?]

((This post is open to all, and will be active as long as people continue posting to it. The Masked Ones have slightly misunderstood exactly what "holidays" mean, but they're trying, out of the goodness of their... whatever they have that acts as a heart, so nothing they have provided is actively harmful to anyone, magically. Because bringing harm is actively against the tenets of Holiday. Or something. Go nuts!))

[So there's a totally looks practically 15 honest barely-teen with streaks of color in her hair eying the place thoughtfully. In her backpack is a pad of drawing paper that depicts her at this very podium, though admittedly not very well. Maybe that's why she doesn't look surprised to be here..]

(Unlike many of the others who've taken the stage so far, Howard glides across it like he was born to be on it. (That is until the microphone whines, and there's just the slightest twitch of a wince when it does. But he laughs it off, chuckling into it and murmuring something about how someone really needs to check the system out, this would never happen with Stark Tech, and if they want to talk to him, he can give them his card.

But he's supposed to ask a question, isn't he? He's had weirder crowds to talk to, including the masked folk, so it matters not to him.)

Greetings, all. My name is Howard Stark, proprietor of Stark Industries, though I'm sure you all know that. (pause for laughter, maybe some light applause.)

I have great dreams for the future. Some of the things I've already started to realise, my tireless car's almost ready to be available for public sale, once I get it approved, and I have a multitude of other projects in the work. Some call me a visionary, some call me delusional, personally, I just call myself brilliant.

(Another pause for laughter. No? Okay, clearing his throat. Awkward self-laugh.)

But enough about me, this is about you. What is your dream for the future? Technology wise. Don't worry, if I use the idea, I'll give you a cut of the profits. I'm fair like that.

Is this normal?

Acceptably abnormal?

... Perhaps I should go out more?
